my approach?

our session begins with me getting to know you and your family. i spend some time learning what you love to do as a family, what's important to you, and really getting down to the kids level and playing with them. and this is when the magic happens... this is when expressions and actions are most honest and natural.

i only use the natural light,  i do not do forced family photos, and rarely ask for you to deliver an involuntary smile. instead, we will talk, play, and laugh in your chosen environment. you will enjoy each other and live a normal “day in your life”.  i am first and foremost a documentary photographer and i aim to capture the human condition in it’s most honest form.  it is life captured through honest images.   these images will be the ones that you display proudly in your home as well as share for the world to see.

when should i book my session?
please book your session online at www.xeniaphotography.com or call 203.456.5773 at least 4 weeks in advance to allow for space availability.

where do portrait sessions take place?
mini sessions are taken at a designated location. please see details above.

what form of payment do you accept?
cash, check or credit card.

when is payment due?
a 50% deposit is due at the time of booking to secure session date. remainder of payment is due when images are delivered

how soon after our session will our images be available?
a password-protected online gallery of your images will be available within 2 weeks after your photo session and your images will be available for viewing online for 3 weeks. after that time your order image order is due.

do  you offer sneak peaks prior to the gallery being available?
sneak peaks are only provided on my xenia photography instagram and/or facebook posts. with your written permission, those posts will be made available for you view and share. 

how long will it take to get my prints or digital images?
once your final balance is paid for, digital images will be available in 3 days. should you have additional, more complex retouching requests, please allow for an additional week to receive your digital images. also, please allow 2 weeks for delivery for prints. if you need sooner, a rush deliver charge may apply. 

how will i receive my digital images?
all digital images will be provided trhough a secure link via email. clients will be able to easily download images onto their computers from the link provideed. no cd or usb with images will be provided.
